Every summer, I’m up to my ears in blueberries. Hammonton, New Jersey is the blueberry capital of the world, and this time of year, they’re everywhere around here! And they are super delicious.
My parents usually buy a ridiculous amount from a farm near our shore house, and divide them up between all of us. Some go in the freezer…some get used up right away. And this was a great way to put them to use!
This cake is so easy, you can pretty much make it with your eyes closed. And one hand tied behind your back. Go ahead and try it 😉
By the way, can anyone tell me why it’s called boy bait?
Blueberry Boy Bait

2 cups AP flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
3 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 pan. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a mixing bowl. Add oil, milk and eggs, and beat for around 3 minutes.
Pour mixture into pan and top evenly with blueberries. Mix sugar and cinnamon together, and sprinkle over blueberries. Bake for 50 minutes.
