Pan Seared Scallops

Talk about an easy and SUPER satisfying dish. These were the best scallops we’ve ever tasted…no exaggeration. Straight from Barnegat Bay, in our shore house neighborhood. I didn’t want this meal to end. If you love sweet scallops, you’d totally agree.

Pan Seared Scallops

Barnegat Bay scallops (or, the best scallops you can find)
extra virgin olive oil
butter
salt and pepper

Place pan or skillet on stove and turn heat on SUPER high to let the heat penetrate. Season scallops with salt and pepper. Add oil to the pan, then scallops. Add butter and distribute evenly among scallops.

Sear scallops on one side for around 2 to 3 minutes, being careful not to burn. Turn and sear for another minute or two. Serve with lemon wedges.
