Whole Chicken in the Air Fryer

How great is this?! Anytime I can cut back my cooking time more than half the amount makes me happy…especially when the same results are achieved. Easy, delicious, crispy skin and tender meat.

Use whatever seasonings or spices you like. I used a poultry seasoning I found in my spice cabinet, and rubbed the entire bird with just a tiny bit of extra virgin olive oil first (you could also use butter).

I didn’t stuff it with anything but you certainly could…next time I will probably throw a lemon and onion inside.

Can’t wait to make this again!

Whole Chicken in the Air Fryer

One whole roasting chicken (approx. 5 lbs)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
whatever seasonings you like

Rub chicken with oil, then add seasoning. Place in air fryer basket. Set temp for 350 degrees and cook for 40 minutes on each side, flipping once. (If you have a smaller air fryer, you may have to cut the backbone of your chicken out to flatten it first…I have the Power XL 5.3 so mine fit very well)

Remove from basket. Let rest for 10 minutes before cutting.

Serves many! Makes lots of leftovers too.
